Mr Porter and the rock essence of Lenny Kravitz

Lenny Kravitz in Mr Porter’s latest editorial is the proof that it is possible to maintain your essence regardless of the pieces that make up your look.

Born in Manhattan in 1964, the musician models a variety of clothing for Mr Porter (including velvet tuxedos) while still emanating those “rockero-vintage” vibes that characterize his style with all of them.

Made in a decadent Parisian mansion, which provides an incredible atmosphere, the session combines colour photographs with photographs in black and white

This last class belongs the instantaneas in which the American, remaining faithful to one of his hallmarks, wears unbuttoned shirts. The pieces belong to the firms Saint Laurent and Balmain, respectively.

The publisher’s most rocker look (at least in the most conventional sense of the word) is what you can see right on these lines. It is made up of a back fur coat from Balmain, a plaid flannel shirt by Haider Ackermann and black skinny jeans from Saint Laurent.

Biker boots from Saint Laurent are the shoes chosen for all looks except the last one, where they are replaced by Gucci pink velvet slippers, decorated with a snake.

The casual combined tuxedos catch much of the attention in this editorial titled “How Mr Lenny Kravitz keeps his cool” (“How does Lenny Kravitz stay cool”).

In the header image, the Grammy winner wears a black tuxedo by Saint Laurent on a printed shirt by Alexander McQueen. The red velvet is in charge of Berluti. In this case you do use a shirt with a tuxedo collar, but unbuttoned and without a bow tie.
