Creative visualization

Visualization is the way or technique of looking inside, of visualizing yourself as the main objective. It may seem something impossible or ununusual, but it is a practice that works for the good in many psychological aspects.

Practicing your imagination objectively, can help you much better get ready for this life. And it is that our reality is related to our thoughts. We must fill our minds with positive ideas and images in order to obtain what we want.

What is Creative Visualization?

It consists of imagining yourself witnessing situations that you would like to live, where you can devise and project a future to better live the present. It’s about thinking and imagining those situations that can be complex for you, where the protagonist is you, and trying to focus on how to live and solve that situation in a positive way.

With this form we reflect with this type of visualization and concentration, the desired moment. You must imagine stimulating moments and powerful enough to recreate that situation in the best possible direction.

This form of visualization works great for shy people, with some resignation to having relationships with others, or even feeling phobia from public speaking. You can see yourself, projecting scenes in which you see yourself talking, even being the protagonist and solving that situation successfully, that you must perceive that moment calmly and safely.

How to practice visualization?

Visualization is not about recreating a situation anywhere, or at any time. You should apply this practice in a quiet place,be comfortable and especially relax. It is a little closer to meditation, because of the power of concentration. You should close your eyes and relax with a series of breaths and try to visualize that moment.

You should avoid any thought that blends into the idea you want to recreate. When you reach your target, visualize that detail, and even imagine the objects and elements that may be part of that environment. At that moment you must weigh the scene and imagine recreating that scene.

Imagine in depth that moment: how you will be dressed, temperature, smells, people and try to find out what emotions awakens you that moment. You must delight that scene with pride, happiness and satisfaction.

This is the main goal, where that scene can be fateful or compromised, you yourself are already training it and devising it to be solved satisfactorily. If you practice this exercise, at least twice a day, it will see how you can master those moments that stay big, it is almost certain, that your reality will begin to change.

Is visualization the same as imagination?

It’s not the same thing. Visualization if done right, focuses on all kinds of details, is more real and more fruitful. Imagination is to imagine a scene, as if you are viewing a film without further details. But it is true that both terms are combined, imagination is part of this technique, but it must be used in a practical and persuasive way.

On practice, you have to use visualization imagining small details and letting in small simple stimuli. In this way you are training little by little to concentrate on that great detail. The most recurring and visualized events are usually conflicting moments in our daily life, how to present themselves for a driving test, attend a job interview, a first date, or for professional athletes, where they will go to professionals to solve competitive situations and where they have to believe they’re going to win.

How does visualization affect our brain?

Filling our conscious ideas and positive images will be a way to train our mind for a correct visualization, without it hurting us. This kind of repetitions if they are restrated will lead us to find the right way.

The type of thoughts is measured with each person’s beliefs. If you do not change your way of thinking, surely everything that happens in your daily life, is repeated . This way, if your mind is lazy it will probably detract from your motivation to stay firm.

Therefore, visualization must be done for the good of a person, but respectfully. People interact discreetly, but with consequences that can generate benefits for themselves. You have to know how to differentiate the selfish way of acting against others, if we visualize things as our personality is, you probably are not visualizing a real situation.

That

is why humility must exist within that person and not confuse it with altruism. We must try to fill our mental space with positive facts, affirmations and ideas and above all be consistent with what we want to obtain. This practice over time will help us to implement the scenes we want to represent and thus have them devised and formalized throughout the day.
